  1. Very interesting statistics! "78% of consumers trust peer recommendations, only 14% trust advertisers."

    How will advertisers respond to this shift away from the traditional marketing avenues they've used in the past. Perhaps they'll hire computer geeks who will embed themselves in various chatlines and forums posing as "Joe-Consumer" in order to promote their product. Rumours are this is being done already on the website "Trip Advisor". Apparently hotel chains have compensated guests that give favourable reports and recommendations. It is an educated consumer that is needed to sift through all the tangles of the web to find the truth!!

  2. Using soical media is almost always a tactic in our marjeting plans. Of course this depends on your target, but even older generations are way more tech savvy than we give them credit for. And almost any demographic has a social site on which to plant the seed!!
